Blue eyed daylilies are moving forward fast and have really taken some giant steps forward in recent years.  I remember probably 10 years ago getting excited just to see some hint of blue in the eye, but now with color changing daylilies coming into the scene, I don't think we are as far away from a pure blue daylily as we used to be.  It is an exciting time to be in daylilies.  Elizabeth Salter has definitely been a pioneer of the modern blue eyed daylily having introduced Crystal Blue Persuasion and Blue Oasis some years ago.  Hybridizers have converted those two daylilies to advance the tetraploid blue eyed daylily forward.  Here's some of Elizabeth's most recent blue eyed intros:

Now here are some more blue eyed daylilies from various hybridizers:

So many great blue eyed daylilies. Can't wait to see a lot of these hit the market.  Some already have.  All above photographs are the property of each person who shared, and use without prior consent is prohibited.  We are kind of in between interviews right now so I'll wait and see who winds up being next.  Hope you enjoyed this segment. Spring inches closer.  Hang in there people.
