A year ago I put together a segment on striped daylilies from across the country. This year I asked folks to share some of their new seedlings and Holy Snikes! What a difference a year makes. I have gathered enough striped daylily pics to almost make my computer crash. Lol! It's nice to see everybody's work and how the striped daylilies are increasing in popularity. I'm going to break this segment down into sections involving each hybridizer's photos. The first section are Angela Ridder's intros and seedlings:

Dave Mussar converted his diploid introduction, Cherry Stripes, and he's been getting some
very special seedlings from his crosses. Check out these pictures from Dave below:

And if that wasn't enough.....WAIT, THERE'S MORE! Some years back Steve Todd introduced a really uniquely striped daylily called, Clown Pants.

From his introduction a whole new bunch of seedlings have sprung up. It's a very cool looking flower with striping only on the sepals. My friend, Peter Donato has a great program including seedlings from Clown Pants, so let's see some of what he's accomplished:

Steve Todd has been working hard with his intro, Clown Pants, and shared some pictures of
some of his awesome seedlings. Check them out:

Don't be surprised if next year I have an entire segment devoted to Clown Pants seedlings!
Now here's a couple more striped daylilies to close out the segment:

So, that's probably the most pictures I have gathered together for a segment. Thanks to all these hybridizers for sharing some of their programs. It's fun to watch daylilies evolve into new directions and have such a wonderful group of people hybridizing them. Keep up the good work people! I don't know what's in store for my next segment. It would be nice to get my first interview of the season up. Let's see who's willing to do it??!! Thanks for stopping in.
