Florida Visit 2015!

I've been going down to Florida every other year to see daylily nurseries since 2001.  My Dad lives near Orlando, so it has always been a blessing to have him in close proximity to some of the best daylily nurseries in the world.  This year I visited 5 nurseries over Memorial Day Weekend.  If I didn't get to your place, I apologize, I had to split time with my family.  Here are some incredible seedling pictures from each visit.  At the very top of the page is a very unusual seedling from Jamie Gossard out of Tet. Pixie Pinwheel Party, shot at John Kinnebrew's place.  The seedling right below it was from Luddy Lambertson. What a pattern!  A sepal accidentally broke off when he took the bloom off.  Here are the rest of some special daylilies below:

Pictured above is Tattoo (Dan Hansen 2014).

Pictured above is a seedling from Dan Hansen.  He said it was the best in the garden that day.  What an incredible blue eye, complete with pattern!

Pictured above is another Dan Hansen patterned seedling.

More pictures from the summer of 2014.

You would have thought I would have had more time to post these pictures this past winter, but I was busy with my job and never got to doing them until now.  As we are all getting ready or already ready for another bloom season, I think these pictures help me remember some of the highlights from the last season which I will look forward to seeing again this summer. The beautiful pink with the gold edge at the top is Elegant Universe (Pat Stamile). I hope you enjoy these pictures!

Pictured above is Bubba on Tour (Hugh Buntyn).

Pictured above is Pins and Needles (John Rice).  A favorite of mine.
